Upgrade from 2.0 RC5 to 2.02 hangs on step 17

Hi,

I want to upgrade an installation of SMF 2.0 RC5 to current 2.02 - the updater hangs at step 17:

Executing: "Adding new indexes to attachments table." (17 of 25)

then nothing happens, repeating the whole process does not go beyond this step 17.

There is unfortunately no useful information I can find anywhere on the screen or in any logfile.

I am using an sqlite db, so rollback is very easy, however the upgrade process does not perform.

How can I upgrade to 2.02?

This is just a wild guess, mate.

I wonder if the script's timing-out, for whatever reason...

Can you ask your host about this, to start with?

If they can increase the timeout limit, which is usually thirty seconds, you might get lucky.

If they hassle you, you only need it for a short amount of time.

They need to edit php.ini to adjust "max_execution_time". Although, if they  have PHP running in safe mode, they'll need to blatt that, too, I believe.
