File permission

hi i have installed
SMF 2.0 Beta 3 Public
but when i want to install new any package it replies that change file permission i have changed to 0777 but same error is coming what can i do plz

Try taking the 0 out just 777. Maybe.

UTM - 0777 and 777 are the same thing (just two different ways of writing it).
jandan - You will need to change the permissions of every file in Sources and Themes/default to 777 if you don't want to get that message.

Yea sorry. I did say maybe though.
I remember i had the same problem with file permissions when installing 2.0. Then again, i was using a free host at the time :P
