Improved post-registration message in Japanese
winjeel:
I've noticed that my Japanese students have not been checking their e-mails after they've tried to register and join the 1.1.11 forums. I think the registration message in Japanese does not state that they need to check their e-mails to activate their accounts. This causes immense frustration for them, and causes me to continually check for new registrations that haven't yet been activated. So, could the Japanese language post-registration message be improved to reflect that they may need to check their e-mails for an activation link?
GravuTrad:
Reported to our japanese translators. We'll take a look too on these files to see where's the problem.
Thanks for the report.
GravuTrad:
Can you explain more your problem please? The link isn't provided? Not well explained? cause as i could see, the languages files explain it...
Logue:
Well...
Is it that a Japanese user does not try to perform activation of email?
Then, you think that the cause would be in translation of Japanese?
In Japan, since a user's registration type bulletin board is not common, they may be not understanding well.
In addition, it may be not having noticed email sent.

That could be it. Which then, highlighting the fact to check their e-mail may help a lot. I understand that SMF may wish to keep a standard format across all languages, but could this page highlight the need to check their e-mail, for at least a few generations of SMF, as it becomes more widely used in Japan? (and perhaps other language regions, too).
