Wordpress and SMF forum Single Signon

I've googled many times about mods or plugins that support single sign on for SMF/WP but I couldn't seem to find one that works.
Currently, I have the latest Wordpress Version installed on my website 3.3.1 and SMF 2.0.2. I thought this mod will work http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=3008 , and yet it only supports SMF version 1.X til 2.0 RC5. I really like SMF and really don't wish to opt for phpbb just because of this.

Hopefully someone can help me out with this issue.

That's food to know that Wordpress and SMF can share the same login.  I'll keep that in mind.

Can you give some people acces to both WP and SMF. while giving other access to only one or the other?
