Resetting the theme folders to 644 or 444 is what broke them, the folders need to be 755 or 555 - the extra 1 on each number is the ability to actually browse a folder.

Looks like all the CSS is not working to me...

Permission on the files is set wrong obviously, using chmod to correct in FTP client should easily fix that on all CSS files and the theme folder as stated above :)

Chmod 755, 777 may work, but some hosts make 777 permission unusable.
