Is there a mod to display a banner image above the forum categories?

I've never administered SMF myself but I'm a programmer with php experience, which is why a friend asked me to do this for him:

Is there a mod for displaying an image in a div equivalent to the "navigation_section" div? I could edit the php myself easily enough but this seems like something that would be wanted commonly enough to have a mod, and I'd rather do it the "official" way :)

This is not an SMF theme.

I Think you'll have to ask the theme author.
