What about MODs while upgrading SMF?

What happens to the installed MODs while upgrading SMF from an older version to the latest one? My forum is on 2.0.2 and so, right now i do't need to worry about this bit. I have installed 5 MODs on my forum.

Do i need to uninstall all those MODs before i upgrade from 2.0.2 to a future version(say 2.0.3)?
Or does the upgrade takes care of that?

For the sake of upgrades it's advisable to uninstall all mods prior to an upgrade and then re-install them after to make sure they are applied correctly as you never know what code changes may be applied during a new release of SMF.

Yes. It did.

But i was only wondering that my users may get confused with the new version; if they miss the features(the missing MODs) they have got used to.

But that can be handled by sending some sort of newsletter to my users and educate them.
