Is SM.org really under stress or just annoying me?

I'm having real problems with this forum today.  It's running super-slow and then when it does do something I'm forever getting error messages such as:

Temporarily Unavailable
Due to high stress on the server the forum is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.

which comes in two different formats, one within the forum template and the other on a blank white screen.

I can't use the search, instead I get an error message telling me that due to the server being busy, the search function has been automatically and temporarily disabled.  It's just as though one of you admin guys is running the "Annoy User" mod on me  :P

How long do we expect this to go on for before things are back to normal?
