alright, I need some help to ensure I am doing the right thing.
I have the conversion tool.
I have a clean SMF install on another domain,
do i have to move the database to the new domain?

Yes, you need to move your vB settings file, any attachments and the vB database to the new domain, and update the settings file as needed.
