So do I, but I didn't want the guy to have to use a bunch of crap to make his games. He NEEDS GM5. It's what I use. It's what EVERYONE should use. And it's freeware.

im not spamming im simply disscussing a fun, free program in which people can get together and play some games their friends have made, and just have a laugh or something.  however, if you're more interested in gameboy style games like FF1, or Zelda, i recommend RPG Maker 2000/2003.  Quest is based around a text-based system.  you can choose to either code it in ASL (very easy to learn), or use the QDK system.  VB, and C++ is very hard to learn.

If you're going to use something like... that... use VERGE.  It almost doesn't suck... almost. (although it hasn't been updated in a while AFAIK.)

Yes, you are spamming. You've posted a link to a comericial program on multiple sites and you're not an active member of any of the communities. It's basic bulletin board etiquette. This is why I locked the topic at YaBB and if it were up to me, I'd have done the same thing here. ;)
