Hey guys, I just got my site setup today and I need some help with a few things. First of all I would like to be able to change the directory from mmobullet.net/wp-forums to www.mmobullet.net/forums (it's shorter) but when I change the name of the folder from wp-forums to forums via the File Manager my host has provided me (Green Geeks) the forums theme messes up and it says click here to fix this problem but when I do so it takes me to a 404 error on my site mmobullet.net.

Also I would like to change the place the Home button on my forum takes me to. Instead of taking me to the home of the forums I would like it to redirect me to my website (mmobullet.net). I don't know how to do this so help would be appreciated.

Lastly I wanted to install 2 mods on my forum but they are outdated and do not work with SMF 2.0.2 so if anyone can give me tips or guide me on how to fix them then that would be great!

The first is: AjaxChat Integration (I've tried using emulate but there seems to be a problem and on the chat box the error 'Connection status 404' keeps appearing and when I type and press enter nothing appears.

There should really be a forum which you can ask for mods to be updated in.

Not to mention that I also wanted to add a favicon image to my website but I don't know how, so I tried researching it and there is ways like adding it via php but I don't know how. There is also mods but I have found anything. So if anyone knows anything help would be appreciated.

for the first one
go to Admin>configuration>theme>theme setting
scroll down and click attempt to reset all paths
only default will work you gotta reinstall other themes
Next you have to fix paths so download this http://download.simplemachines.org/index.php?thanks;filename=repair_settings.php
upload it via FTP and fix all the paths
upload it in your forum directory then online go on it and fix your paths.


Go on the mod site find the menu editor lite mod
and upload that mod on your forum and you will have to make a new menu and you can make sure home redirects you to the homepage

I'm not sure about the updating part

There are a couple other award mods on the mod

After you rename your directory you should upload and run repair_settings to fix your paths to point to the new folder.

The favicon is easy, just make sure it's a 16x16 pixel image with the .ico extension and upload it to the directory where your forum is.  The rest should be automatic.

For the mods, you will notice there is a link to the support thread for each mod from its own mod page - you're better looking there for mod-related solutions.

As for the button, others will be able to tell you much better than me so I'll leave it to them ;)

Menu editor lite or the 6 custom button one is good for the menu
but Menu editor lite deletes your whole menu so you can add your own so i suggest that to the OP
