(1/9) > >>

alsaka:
when i upload package and then click install i see this error

(You cannot download or install new packages because the Packages directory or one of the files in it are not writable!)

i goto ftp change all to 777

same problem why ?

hcfwesker:
do you have a folder labeled "temp" inside the Packages folder and is it set to 777 or 755?

alsaka:
i don't have this file name  :-\

LordTiggy:
I am having the same problem as he has. New to SMF but not new to php ...

Temp folder is there chmoded to 777.

Everything seems to run fine and shows as installed but no actual file is added or altered.
Tried chmoding every file/dir to 777 still no luck.

Error log shows:

hxxp:www.myreef.be/index.php?action=admin;area=packages;sa=install2;package=ultimate_profile-0-9-1_20.zip;pid=0 [nonactive]
512: package_flush_cache(): some files are still not writable
 File: /hsphere/local/home/rftools/myreef.be/Sources/Subs-Package.php
 Line: 2534

If I can remember correctly site is running on linux server. Any ideas what I should do?

alsaka:
