Main-Differences SMF vs. YABB SE 1.54

I'm working with Yabbse 1.54  - it works well. For my decision to change to SMF I have 3 questions:

1. SMF is in an alpha-stage. When it will be possible, to download this forum?

2. Is here anywhere a list with the (main)features/differences of SMF, which are better than Yabbse?

3. Will it be possible to convert all member-datas from Yabbse and the templates too?

Sorry for my poor English. And sorry, if the answers to this questions are anywhere in this board - I didn't found it with my poor English. So it is enough, if you write the link to the answers.

trying to answer to the best of my knowledge.

1. still under development. charter members will have it first, but when is unknown.  ('when its done')

2. i believe this is being drawn up (along with comparisons to other software)

3. member/board/post data definitely yes.  (via a convertor) templates.. i'm not sure. [unknown] did mention something, but i'm unsure if its the same thing as your asking.


ps.. i'm not a SMF official.. these questions have been covered elsewhere :)

the it will be beta and the RC (RC is normally the first downloadable Version)!

from 1.5.4 to SMF 1.0 Yes! (you can understand SMF 1.0 as YaBB SE 1.5.6

but let me say that SMF 1.0 is only in update-issues to understand as YSE 1.5.6!
