How to keep the registration agreement when upgrading

After I upgraded my SMF from 2.0 beta 3 to beta 4, my registration agreement was reset and I had to update it manually. Is there any way that I can keep my registration agreement when upgrading SMF?

Don't overwrite agreement.txt in the future :)

Thanks. I thought it was saved somewhere in the database.

I made a copy of my agreement.txt so I will not lose it next time when upgrading.
