upload avatars?

Hi... i just upgraded to 2.0 beta 3.1 and everything is cool, except uploaded avatars... When someone tries to upload a new avatar it appears to go well but the image doesn't show up, following the link from the profile gives this message:

404 - Attachment Not Found

When i go into admin and look at the avatars, the avatar i uploaded is listed there (as avatar_1.png) but following it also gives a popup with:

404 - Attachment Not Found

im assuming the directory is correct (it was supposed to have uploaded after all) and i have even run repair_settings.php

how can I fix this?

Sorry for the delay, I was away.

No, there isn't any errors in the log at all, and I'm running a completely vanilla installation.

Just to clarify and add to this, following the non existant image link in the profle gives the Attachment Not Found message, the attachment shows up in administration but gives the same message.

The uploads are set to the default attachments directory and permissions are correct, this is supported by the fact that the image (avatar_1.png) actually exists in the attachments directory.

Sooo... it's actually uploaded to the server, then..? *confused*

Do you have the correct settings for attachments and avatars?
These have changed and advanced in the 2.0, you might need to reconfigure them.

Grimstorm:
What attachments and avatar settings should I be looking at, specifically? As far as I know the settings are correct.
