What should be the default settings for robots.txt for smf, how to change it,

as the topic name suggests, what should be the default settings for robots.txt for smf?
also I need to submit sitemap to google and bing webmaster tools,
is there a mod that enables us to do so?

I remember working with KarlBenson on it, and I have not changed it, so it should be very effective :).

ok, so i just upload a text file names robots.txt in root folder ie where I ahve installed smf forum and copy all that which is in your robots.txt
will that do?

I use Slammeddimes one, it still works on 2.0.2 :).

just one question,
I Have uploaded this as my sitemap
index.php?action=.xml;type=rss
i.e the rss feed of topics in my forum as the sitemap, and it has been accepted by google webmaster tools

is it correct or should I submit an actual sitemap?
