SEO sitemap and XML sitemap

Hi, I just installed your sitemap and submitted the xml url to google webmaster tool but I got the errors message from Google
We were unable to read your Sitemap. It may contain an entry we are unable to recognize. Please validate your Sitemap before resubmitting.

I am also getting an error from Google Webmaster when trying to submit mkress SEO sitemap. The error message:
"We encountered an error while trying to acess your Sitemap. Please ensure your Sitemap follows our guidelines and can be accessed at the location you provided and then resubmit." (See screenshot 1)
It says the URL is restricted by robots.txt but I'd prefer not to delete my robots.txt file since it protects my folders. How do I fix this?
