"Remember me" doesn't for firefox and chrome?

Ive never had to relog in using FF ;)

I'm having the same issue with FF and Chrome.   IE works fine.
I've cleared the cache as suggested here but that hasn't made a difference.
My forum is hxxp:www.example.com/forum [nonactive] so it's not in the root.

I have several articles that are in hxxp:www.example.com/articles [nonactive].
When you exit the forum to read the article and then go back to the forum it's still requesting you login even though we haven't left the site.
If you don't log in but click on one of the discussion groupings you are then logged back in automatically.

I've had a few users complain so I'm trying to get it resolved.

I've discovered that if I go to any non-forum page on my site and then go to the forum I get this log:
