Anecdota theme

Ah, the reason is it uses its own graphic for the text - you'll need to create a graphic to hold your logo and use that to replace Themes/Anecdota/images/img/logo.jpg

There is a Photoshop file in the top of the theme's directory that you can use to create a new logo as it should contain some of the things necessary to make a new logo in the other one's place.

Oh right I see - yes I just went to look at the files on the server and the whole top seems to be made from a number of images, including that title "My Community". When I feel brave enough (now I know where to look) maybe I'll have a go at editing it, saving a copy of the original first in case I mess up  ;)

Actually I had a "Go up" modification which worked OK in the standard themes, but seemed to add another Split Topic button between the existing split topic and the Go up buttons, but with a blank placeholder. So I removed the "Go Up" mod and all is OK now.

BTW I can't for the life of me understand the purpose of the split topic button and I'm not sure it was always there when I first installed SMF which was probably 1.1.5.

Thank you for now.

Arantor:
Split topic is necessary if you have a thread that has changed from its original purpose and you want to break it into two threads... e.g. you have a support topic that starts out as one problem and gradually becomes another - you split it to create two topics out of one.

rob54:
Oh right I understand - when thread become more and more removed from how the originator started it.

Thanks again!

I had a tentative go at editing the Photoshop file buy I only have Photoshoop Elements 2 and the layer containing "My Community" couldn't be changed. I guess I'll need to create another logo somehow and replace that one.

Umm I'm a bit confused about needing logo.jpg and logo.psd. Would I need to create a new .psd file and also save it as a .jpg and replace the two. Would GIMP do the business?
