[Accepted] dont count recent post modifications
Overseer:
topic kinda explains it all.
probably best as an option if accepted.
lowdown is this...
if a topic is modified right after posting (and there are no replies) then if its modified with a configurable time frame (like 10 mins?) then it doesnt show as modified.
ps.. vbulletin does this
Joseph:
Why not just be careful and use "preview" ;)
Overseer:
haha.. sometimes i never notice a mistake until after...
Douglas:
I would also like to endorse this suggestion, there's a lot of times I do go back in and edit it, and if I'm welcoming someone (at least 5-30 times a month), and I make a mistake, it doesn't look very professional to see the edit line in there on someone's welcome message.
EDIT: As you can see, I re-read this in less than a minute and fixed it, yet I still have the lovely edit message below. :/
Overseer:
^ LOL
I just go in the database and clear the modified time out of the post ;)
edit: or... make a new post under it and delete the one above :)
