Will this method work the other way around?  I only want the snow effect on my X-Mas theme, and not any of the other themes.  :)

Use the version 1 of the mod and remove the changes in the file "index.template.php" of the themes where you want not the effect.

Congrats... shaking frame in browser has gone. Works fine.

Just 1 thing - Selecting the last snow design does not save. It resets to the first option.

The default option is the same as the last ;)

But the snow stopped  ;D  after ftp the file.
Refresh didn't work but disabling saving and enabling again - it worked.

I do not think you can, because the library does not use images as an option.

I cant get it to work on the x mas theme!  Not sure what I am doing wrong

The mod does not touch nearly template files, so it should work on all themes.

Have you enabled it in Admin/Configuration/ADK-Snow Effect? it is not enabled by default you have to tick the box.

Had it switched on for an hour but had to turn this off on my forum (www.i30ownersclub.com/forum) due to complaints like:

The "official" IE9-ready version also misbehaves under IE9.

So, I placed some code to swerve the snow for IE9 users and everyone seems happy now. Those IE9 users who want to see the snow can use Compatibility View to emulate IE7/8 and for them the browser shows the snow effect properly, with no excessive CPU usage, no jittering, no lag and no random horizontal scroll bars appearing :)

Looks great. tried it on my testsite.  Just wish there was a easy way to turn it off on certain themes.  Is it possible to add a check box to current theme, so you can turn it off / on. ?

No work with files templates, so it can not be configured for different themes.

is there a way to only display this on certain pages, I use SMF packs shoutbox and in that admin i can choose what pages it displays on, this would be a great feature to be able to shut it off when people are reading an actual post because it can get distracting, but leave it on the index, and topics pages, just shut it off for the actual thread itself

The first 0 is what turns it on and off on my portal front page  the second 0, which is a 1 in this code turns the snow on globally
