Title: (scripted) update/upgrade for plenty smf's
Post by: shadoow on March 16, 2012, 05:53:09 AM
Hi fellows,

may this is the wrong spot or a more generally question. If you deploying more than XX (2 - 99......*) SMF it's a little bit awkward to do it manually?   For example some admins are very lazy and are stuck @ 1.1.* or 2.0.*

1. Is there any possibility to run a system-wide smf - update or upgrade?
2.  Is there any possibility to run a system-wide (scripted) smf - update or upgrade?
3.  Without git/github?

Any suggestions? ยท[Sorry if it's the wrong thread - thx for your help]

Everything is possible, but if you would be running 99+ forums for some strange reason, you would probably be best off looking at some dedicated multiforum system such as http://www.smfmultiforums.com/

Disclaimer: I don't know if that particular system will make it any easier or not in reality. Was just the first thing that I thought of.
