Hello everyone,
I've searched around for what i want and i only found this:
http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=444050.0
but this uses to thickbox which is deprecated.
So what do i want? ..A popup shown to every visitor once! On the first visit, to any page, from anywhere a (jquery colorbox maybe?) popup will appear with a message. Actually not a popup but a javascript message within the current windows/tab with a warning. The thing is that i want this to be displayed only once to everyone. So if someone logins he won't see it again.
My version of SMF is the latest: 2.0.2
Thanks in advance for any help. :)
Anyone?
looks interesting - I think I will create a mod
okay i have created the mod and submitted to http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/
when the mod is approved I will post the link...
untill the mod is approved you can downlod it via http://mkress.github.com/smf_kitguestdialog (http://mkress.github.com/smf_kitguestdialog)
the mod is now approved http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=3397
Great mod but whats the main difference between this and the "Invitation message in your face" mod (which works with 2.0.2) here:
http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=3107
Apart from some styling they look very similar ?
this mod http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=3397 (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=3397) works without modifying smf code (only with hooks).
nevertheless I have not found the mod you suggested before, but they are similar.
Nice addition, I think it test.
Nice work on the mod mkress I've integrate it to my forum unfortunately I got some messages about the mod not working in ie explorer.
It works fine on chrome and firefox but when people visit my site with ie explorer a error message appears
line: 14
Error: Object required
jquery-ui.min.js
b=Math.max(document.documentElement.scrollWidth,document.body.scrollWidth),c=Math.max(document.documentElement.offsetWidth,document.body.offsetWidth)
can you please post a link to your site - which version of internet explorer are you using - with ie9 all works.
I think it has to do with another mod you are using...
