Endar was made as a custom template for www.Endar.org.
It was Miraenda, the very generous owner of Endar.org. Whose decision it was to release the template to the community. So should you want to show any gratitude for this template, you know to whom that thanks is deserved. Thanks Miraenda!
The template is nominally a fantasy theme with varying hues of browns, greens and yellows. Is constructed largely without the use of tables. As a result a large proportion of the XHTML has been rewritten.
The theme comes with French language graphics included.
There are detailed instructions, change log and other information in the readme (http://smfdemo.jasidog.com/Themes/endar-108/readme-endar.html) file contained in the Endar zip archive. Please consult this file, though support is available.
Header and footer PSD files should be available alongside this download.
Demo (http://smfdemo.jasidog.com/index.php?action=forum;theme=6)
WOW! It's really nice!
Great theme!
And Jasidog does a fantastic job in support for it as well.
Is it possible to remove the cartoons on the top and bottom of the page?
Yeah there's a ZIP file along side the main download that contains PSD's if you export the sliced images in imageready you'll get the header and footer images without those. Then you just upload them to the Endar images directory.
If you have any trouble with that I can help you out. :)
Oh and thanks Essential Knight, it's appreciated. :)

I'm not sure how to do that but will try and see if I can figure it out. Thanks!
Well you need photoshop to open PSD files, it comes with imageready.
I'm just off to bed because it's very late here but if you need help just shout and tell me what you want the text in the logo to say. Then I'll post the files you need tomorrow. :)

Oh thanks so much, I appreciate it. I have a logo already and I would like to use that if I could. You can check out my site if you want to see it: http://www.themakeupdivas.com/index.php
Well I'm not sure how easy it will be to do it with that image. It might be a problem to make the colours fit in. I'll give it a try though. :)

That would be great, thanks.
Maybe I can get someone to come up with another one, my daughter did that one.
Well try this out and see if it's ok Avidum. :)
Download this ZIP file - http://jasidog.com/misc/avidum-images.zip
You'll find several image files inside a folder in the ZIP package. Upload all those image files using FTP to -
your-smf/Themes/endar/images/
Replacing the original images.
Then take a look at the board and refresh the page.
If you've any problems or don't like it let me know. :)
Ok I will do that and let you know. Just keep your fingers crossed cuz I am not experienced in doing this stuff. lol
Ok I uploaded the images but now I am not sure what you mean by "your-smf/Themes/endar/images/".
Well you need to replace the images that come with the theme. With the new ones.
So you put those new images in the folder on your webspace were the default images for the theme are currently.
In your case that would be in the folder at - http://www.themakeupdivas.com/Themes/endar-103/images/
So in the same way you would normally add files to your website, you do the same here with the image files, but to that location.
Does that help?
Yes now I get it, thanks!
Well it is not looking too good. The colors don't match well at all.
I'd like to thank you for taking the time to do this for me. I really appreciate it. :)
Hmm try this the colours have changed so it fits better but it's a bit bland perhaps.

I am going to have to hold off on this for a bit. I am having major problems with my site right now. Will let you know as soon as I can. Thanks so much.
That's ok there's no reason to let me know anything unless you want to. :D Certainly not in any particular time frame. :)
Good luck with your problems Avidum. :)
Thanks Jasidog.
Hi
I like this one.
But its for Kids.
Jocar
Glad you like it Jocar, whoever it might be for. :)
If I want to add mods where I need to add "language" modifications, where do I go to do that?
The files I need to edit are not in the language folder.
The way themes work is that if you don't need to change a file from the default theme you don't include it and the board works out to use the default theme version.
So the files you need are in the default themes language folder. If you only want the mod to apply to the Endar theme then copy the correct file over to Endar's language folder for editing.
Hope that helps. :)
Do you have plans of making this for 2.0? I would love to keep using this theme once in 2.0
The short answer is that I don't know dannbass. I know it's not a very good answer.
I don't know when 2.0 is coming out, I guess it can't be long. Right now I don't have the time or energy for it. I hope to do so at some point but I'm unsure how much work it would involve. I can't promise it.
So my advice is don't hold out for it. Sorry I can't be definite.
Thanks for the quick answer! I understand perfectly, and you did an amazing job with both themes!
Thanks for the compliment it's appreciated. :)
jasidog, i can pay for your time if you manage to make this theme compatible with 2.0.
Hi Frytec! :)
Sorry it's taken a while to respond. It's very flattering and generous of you to say so. I'm afraid I have to say no, sorry.
Of course it's possible to do. It is just a question of how much work it will take. I suspect it would be easier starting from scratch using the old images and referencing the old css.
Converting the old themes up would be very messy I think. I don't know for sure as I've never really used or worked with SMF 2.x.x. Just looked quickly a moment ago at the a couple of file diffs.
Either way it would take me quite a lot of time. Especially since I'm out of practice with these things. So I'd be uncomfortable asking for payment when I'm not sure how much work it will involve and don't know even roughly how long it would take.
Sorry frytec.
hey jasidog , :)
do you mind if I give it a try with 202?
Hey Crip! :)
Again sorry for taking so long to reply. Yes, I've absolutely no problem with you doing that providing it's not sold. Not that it's likely to be but there is an issue and that is that it's not entirely up to me in this case.
I created the theme for someone and they kindly allowed me to release it publicly also. I don't think he'd mind but you'd need to contact the owner of the Endar domain. You can find the info you need in the readme file (http://smfdemo.jasidog.com/Themes/endar-108/readme-endar.html) provided with the theme, right near the top of the page.
Okie Dokie bro' ;)
Good luck. :)
Hello,
I downloaded this theme to see what it looked like, and i love it's apearance.
I like the images down at the bottum and images at the top. It makes the theme catchy, and makes people want to register.
Can you please make this theme for 2.0.2.
Thankyou,
Ninja111
@Crip, hey, if you make this theme compatible with 2.0.2 i will make you a donation!

Hi Ninja, I got your PM. :)
Thanks for the compliments they're appreciated. If you look at the last few posts here. Then you'll see that Crip looks like making a version for 2.0.x :)
Cheers.
hello
and can get
the edges
rounded
as an image?
Hi please kindly that this theme "Endar" could update me for smf 2.0.3?? I am waiting for your answer.
Thank you kindly
Best Regards
Michael Baldassarre
Hi Michele. :)
No I'm sorry. There will be no update.
For a while it looked as though some others might update it but that hasn't happened.
I won't be updating it sorry.
I downlaoded it and test drive this theme.
Unless you are knowledgeable with programming you should not try to use this theme
as there are quiet a number of hiccups.
The theme will hang up and revert to the same page over and over and over and will not uninstall.
Anybody wants to try this theme please make sure you backup first.
Seriously? What version of SMF were you using?
It is an ancient theme. Last version it was available for was 1.1.12
Wait, people check the version before they use things? No, of course they don't...

Sorry Guys,
Endar as you said was meant for 1.1.3 and I am using SMF 2.0.3 [updated].
Ah cool, no worries I was worried it was something more serious. :)
