Option for members to post topics as "anonymous"

Hi

I am running a german smf for medical patients (http://www.patientenfragen.net/).

Some issues are very private and maybe would only be addressed if the option was available to post a message anonymously.

Is their any hack available or is anyone willing to help me with this?

It should be something like a checkbox [ ] "Post this message as ANONYMOUS"
something like this

The Thread then shows no username, no profile links.
Idealy it should still be editable by the user but this would not be important.

If anonye is willing to make this hack, that would be realy great

Please help me, I realy need this option.

Thank you for the link but it is not exactly what I need and I use 1.1 RC2

The hack from the link makes a forum anonymous and you have to check a box to post as normal user.

What I need is the other way round, because most of the time users will post with their name, but sometimes maybe they would need to post a question without revealing their identity so then they should have the option post anonymous.

This should: remove the username, userid, profile and message link, avatar, signature and everything else (except ip for the administrators) that could be used to identify the user.

If no one is willing to help me but willing to port this hack to 1.1 rc2, I guess I could live with the anonymous forum solution as well (sort of)

Umm I could've sworn that you could do that with this mod.  If you don't need this for soon I can take a look at it.  Maybe two weeks or so.
