Hi. Struggling to see what I need to do to convert my Snitz 3.4 to SMF. I have downloaded convert.php. I have no information on preparation or whether I can do this offline as it's an Access database.

Here are my current params:

Snitz 3.4.03
Access DB
55,000 posts of which 39,000 are archived
941 members
PM mod

Not much else really, a couple of small mods have been added eg image resizing. Not worried about keeping the private messages but it would be nice.

Because it is an Access DB is it worth me unarchiving the posts first and if so how?  Thanks in advance for any help.

Anyone who wants to give me a quote for doing the whole thing can contact me via PM and send a price with your contact email.

How are the posts archived?

In order to convert to SMF you'll need to convert the Access DB to MySQL first

Thanks for the reply Oldiesmann.

I used the built-in Snitz archive tool.  I thought it would be easy enough to import the posts from access but it seems not, does it definitely require conversion to MySQL first?  If so, is there a tool I can use for this?
