Roll in threats

The problem i´ve with my forum is that, because i´ve a lot of topics, the list is verry long because u see the threats and the topics all together in the forum. Ok u can say that the visitor can roll them in but still new visators see them roll out. Is there a way to do the oposite direction? That de visator roll them out while when i visit the first time every thing is roll in?
