Chat with a room restricted to my community, and allows private discussions

Hello !

I want to integrate a chat in my smf forum. What I want is the following :

• I don't want to integrate a public room where everybody can post a message but I would like a room which is accessible only to members of my forum.
• The users should be able to open private discussions.
• The mod should be entirely free and ad free too (it's for an association which has no money).
• It has to be compatible with SMF 1.1RC3

I think that the shoutbox does not allow to open private discussions between members.

Do you know something I could use ? I did some googling but had no chance...

Try FlashChat. It's really cheap ($5 one-time fee). It's a PHP script with a Flash-based interface, so there's no way to access it from outside the forum.

I tried it three times and I hanged my browser every time... And It's not free...

Is there anything else ??
