Bridge login redirect problem

Hey there... I,m kinda new to SMF and not much of a coder but normally manage  hacking things from reading the posts on these forums. This problem i have been unable to solve.

I use SMF RC3 bridged with 1.1.6 on a joomla installation.
My problem is i want the login redirect to return to page user logged in from. This would normally be fine using the bridge  options except i want my forum full page width...... so i dont publish the bridge login mod on the forum page. Without the bridge login the redirect goes back to the last page i was on that had the bridge login.

So on the forum im using the SMF login not the bridge and it works fine .... keeps me logged in throughout the site.
Finally my question............... Is it possible to redirect the SMF login back to the same page the user was on within SMF without effecting the redirect in the bridge for the rest of the site??

or is it possible to build the bridge login in to my SMF page.
