well, I remember I have upgraded my SMF to 1.1 final. However, the version shown on the forums Administration Center is:

QuoteVersion Information:
Forum version: SMF 1.1 RC3
Current SMF version: SMF 1.1.1
(more detailed)

So, I clicked more detailed and see:

SMF File              Your Version           Current Version
SMF Package          SMF 1.1 RC3            SMF 1.1.1
Sources                   1.1                         1.1.1
Default Templates      1.1                         1.1.1
Language Files           1.0                         1.1

To upgrade, I chosed the small update package and uploaded it to my forum directory. When executing upgrade.php in my browser, the progress bar stopped at a certain point and the IE browser showed 'The page cannot be displayed', so basically, my upgrade is not successful.

Considering different version of my SMF files shown above, how should I upgrade my forums to the latest version 1.1.1??
Or is there any specific file/directory that I need to change permissions in order to upgrade??

thanks a lot! :(

Upgrade SMF

Please try running upgrade.php again. Do you know roughly which stage you were at?

Which language file is out of date? You can try uploading it again ;)

well, I tried upgrad.php several times, sometimes, it stopped at 1st step, sometimes at 2nd step. I don't really know what to do right now. Please help.

thanks for the reply. However, I have overwrited my entire forum files/directories with forum of the same version which was upgraded on a different server. I don't know wheter I need to import the upgraded database or not, because my forum is now version 1.1.1 and works very fine.

any ideas?

thanks

Does the upgrade.php give you an error while upgrading?
