Delegate management of a specific membergroup?

Hi!

Is there a mod (or a way in the mainstream version of SMF -- seems not) for delegating the management of a specific membergroup to some member, without putting him in control of ALL membergroups?

The idea is to create 'private' boards with membergroups associated with each of them (so that only members of that group would see and have access to that particular board), and also delegate the management of that board's members, i.e. adding and deleting members to/from the associated group, to some specific member (moderator of that private board), while not giving him any admin privileges outside 'his' board.

Seems to me as a rather natural thing to wish to do(?), but unfortunately I have so far found no (free) forum software capable of that

You can use the groups moderators mod

   LOCATED HERE

That will allow a member you specify to add and remove people from the group.   

Then just create a new group and a new Category.   Give only permissions to that group for that Category.

This is how I am doing it and it works fine for me.
