Ok. I lost my entire board...

I lost the board. But I do have the backup of my database. thats about it. Can I do a fresh install then add the database?

Install from scratch u might keep a backup of your existing Themes or edited files...- then go to your backup *.sql and copy it then edit it and remove all CREATE tables


Then go to phpmyAdmin and run this new edited *.sql with the INSERT tags.

I tried uploading and over writing the new database, but its not working???

Upload a fresh copy of SMF. Once your done, go to the Settings.php file (You may need to delete install.php first) and then change the database settings to the existing database. This should work.

Drop all SMF related tables ....before install and you have a backup for a worst case szenario

I just went into the same database, cleared all the tables that were created from the install and uploaded my backup.  It worked great! Thanks guys for the help though.
