Avatars no longer animated

Is there an admin setting to allow animated avatars?  Since the upgrade, users with animated avatars only show a static image instead of the animation.

If you have download and resize enabled, that will kill animations what are too large.

I do have Download and Resize it enabled.  If I select let HTML resize it will this also kill animations?

No, html resizing wont kill it.
