This mod allows you to select periods for which to display member statistics.
You can choose between first/last x hours/days/weeks/months/years or custom start and end dates OR their combination.
Experiment.

Can you be a bit more specific? What are you searching? What values you use?
Any errors in the forum error log?

hey mate,

I was wondering if it can keep track of the days that the user have signed on??

Mainly this may not be the mod, but im searching for something that can keep track of all the users that sign on for that day, everyday..

for example:

July 12th, 2007
User1(time), User2(time), etc..

would this mod be able to do it? or can you point me to that direction of mod? thanks..

Rudolf

There is not such mod, as far as I know. It's pretty easy to write this, so make a request in the Mod requests board.
Or.
You can order the member list based on date and see for each day who signed up.

When I put in the criteria the stats don't change.  The other mod works fine for overall forum stats but this ones not doing anything.

Yep, I'm having the same problem.  I'm using SMF 1.1.3.

LadyC

i'm also having that problem, both with this mod and the enhanced forum statistics.... nothing changes when i select a date range.

kamili34

Are you change yours mysql from smf 1.1.2 to 1.1.3 ?

LadyC

not sure i understand your question. i did upgrade the forum to 1.1.3, and i'm assuming that took care of the database. wouldn't that be done automatically? i wasn't aware that we had to manually altar anything in mysql.

Rudolf

You don't have to change anything in the database, and the mod doesn't changes either.
Can you check the error log for errors and maybe give a link to your forum so I can see what's happening?

I mean If your MySQL server version is 1.1.2 it will not work and you have change to 1.1.3.  ;)

LadyC

mysql version is 4.1.22-standard, according to the info in my cpanel.....

tsmalmbe

I think I've succesfully installed this beast. Nothing changes on the statisticts-page though (I expect the same kind of change as with the enhanced forum stats-mod).

That's kinda what im looking for too. but this mod shows up on general statistics in user profile.

Wouldn't it be great if it shows up in Forum statistics page? So that it can track the whole forum when you enter specific period of time. not unlike you have to go to each members profile to see their post on a certain period of time.

I get the following error:

Quote
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND m.posterTime <= 1195534800)' at line 2
File: /home/daxueyin/public_html/finalforumtest/Sources/Profile.php
Line: 1877

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.3, while your database is at version 1.1.2. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

I have no idea how to update my database, so any help with that would be greatly appreciated.

TrueSatan

Upgrading your database is easy enough and shouldn't cause any problems though I'm not entirely convinced that that is the root of your problem here...anyhow...

I would very strongly advise that you upgrade to SMF 1.1.4.

There was no database upgrade in the general upgrade from SMF 1.1.3 to 1.1.4 so we have to go back to the upgrade pack for SMF 1.1.2 to 1.1.3 and in that use three files which should be uploaded to your forum root...I'll attach those files to this post.

Using your browser go to the upgrade.php file and that will cause it to run...expect a blank screen.

Thank you, I'll upgrade the database soon.

If it's not a problem with the database, do you have any idea about what the real problem might be?

I'll eventually upgrade to 1.1.4, but I need to find someone to help me first, because I don't want any aspects of the forum to be non-functional. I have a bad feeling that some of the mods I have installed on my forum will need to be modified when I do upgrade...

Anyway, thank you for those files. :)

TrueSatan

I've answered your concerns re-upgrade on the Country Flags mod...and given a method that should do the job with no real problems.

Try the database upgrade and let's then see if your problem persists.

Where can I find the newest files for the database update?

I tried doing what you said, but I got the following message:
Quote
The upgrader found some old or outdated files.

Please make certain you uploaded the new versions of all the files included in the package.

Thanks for your help. :)

TrueSatan

The error you got tells me that your upgrade to SMF 1.1.3/4 wasn't done properly...you need to get the full upgrade done on all the files. Upgrading all the files does risk disrupting some of the mods you may have installed so doing a complete replacement of all your forum files save for the Attachments directory and Settings.php and Settings_bak.php in your forum root then reapplying all your mods and edits is one way round it and would give you an fresh forum with no left over issues from old installs. Alternatively doing the upgrade then fixing any non working mods would require manual editing of files whereas this would be less likely with a full replacement of the files and any editing would be merely what you must have done previously to install the mods.

You would get the necessary files by downloading the full installer for SMF 1.1.4, unpacking it and taking them from it.

With a lot of mods in place it is often easier to do a full replacement of the forum files then re-mod and re-edit rather than doing an upgrade.

dxyy

Thanks, I guess I'll have to try what you said.

I think it's weird that I did not get any error messages when I upgraded from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3, which was before I even had any mods installed. I also did not get any errors when I went from 1.1.3 to 1.1.4, but this time around I had 19 mods in place.

I have this same error after just installing this mod on a test forum.  I selected a user, entered the dates from  2007 01 01  to  2007 05 05 as a test and I got the same error as above. Got this on any date range entered actually.

My forum and database are both up to date and don't need upgrading.  Can you tell me what is causing this error.  It shows up in the log as something similar:

QuoteDatabase Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND m.posterTime <= 1178013600)' at line 2File: /home/mysite/public_html/testforum/Sources/Profile.phpLine: 1936

Line 1936 says:

WHERE ID_MEMBER = $memID AND (m.posterTime >= $start_date AND m.posterTime <= $end_date)",__FILE__,__LINE__);

Also the other option, where you select last/first no. of weeks/months etc doesn't work at all.  Regardless of what you select it returns the same results.

Thanks

Rudolf

All I can think of is that not all changes were applied to the Profile.php file.
Can you attach it here?
