Dragooon

Hello,

Recently I was working for a custom homepage for my forum.Currently it is in  a condition that I can show it a bit.
Demo link: http://www.gforumx.com/hpt/
Currently I have made a contest for the logo since it needs one.
It shows a introduction + 5 latest topics from Gallery + A navigation + Random pics from my gallery + Latest posts made.
Please tell me your opinion on how do you like it or how can I improve it.

Ya I'm not in love with the background too. It looks too bright maybe a new design perhaps? Also you should jazz up the navigation bar with images instead with a black or grey background.

Nice ideas.
Thanks for it.I will look for it and try to improve it.
But I.E. is lame.

I think the layout is decent, but the background has to go.

If you are going to use one background for the entire page I would stay away from gradients and light colors.

Dragooon

Yeah I am gonna change it but I got a better problem here :P
It doesent work in I.E. Any suggestions?

Killer Possum

It probably has something to do with this:

* html #bodyarea
{
height: 1%;
}

Remove #bodyarea

Dragooon

Wow it worked like half charm :P
It shows now but not properly.

But... It works fine with FF.

Famous last words. :P

I would say if you start fixing all your CSS errors you will start seeing some improvements in terms of cross browser compatibility.

Dragooon

Lol nice ideas.
But what you mean by CSS errors?

Currently part of the homepage shows this:

Servers were down from 9 AM GMT - 2:30 PM GMT on 7th July 07
    NOTE:Currently the server is restored and is running without any problems First of all I am very sorry for this long down time. Our servers were down for about 4:30 hours because of a Hard D...

Looks like bbc isn't being parsed correctly!

I imagine the errors would be apparent if you checked with a css validator
