I saw a post about this from another user, but I'm not sure if I ever saw an answer to it.  With Yabb, it was real simple to create a template from the main web site.  I haven't been able to figure out a way to to this.  Can someone help me with this?

Also, I really like the sign on the the forum on the main page.  What I'm thinking about is similar to what is done on the main page of http://www.simplemachines.org.  How is this done?

Any help you can give I'd greatly appreciate it.

I'm not quite sure as to what you're referring to with your first question: do you mean to encapsulate the forum within your site, or just take the color scheme from your site and use it in your forum.

As to the second question, you use SSI. Go to http://www.yourdomain.com/yourforum/ssi_examples.php

All sorts of fun stuff to do in there. ;)

Thankyou!  Just one more question regarding the use of SSI.  My main page is at http://mydomain.com and the forum is at http://mydomain.com/forum.  If I wanted to place some of those functions on the main page would I enter the code as follows:<?php forum/ssi_logOnline(); ?>

To clarify my first question...  I used Dreamweaver to create a template for my main site with the top logo and the button bar.  Is there a way to use this same template with the forum?  I used to be able to do it with Yabb, but I haven't found a way to do this with SMF yet.  I'm finding new functions all the time, but I can't figure this one out for the life of me.

Thanks for your help!

Jerry
