Post Template possible?

Howdie folks,

I am setting up an SMF for my customer support. I would like to be able to have a couple of posting templates. Is this possible? Alternately can someone suggest either a plug-in or an alternative open source MySQL/PHP product for this type of application.

Example of a posting template for Support Engineer's Job post:

Name of engineer:
Date of call:
Start time:
End time:
Parts supplied:
Description:

You would probably want to edit Post.template.php to add the extra fields in there, and then in Sources/Post.php, perhaps concatenate the fields into the actual post. I am not aware of a mod that currently does this, however I can move this to Mod Requests if you would like.
