Missing navigation links after conversion...

I just migrated a YABB 1.5.5 forum to SMI RC2.
Everything went smoothly, and the new forum flies compared to the old one.
However, I found that the text navigation links above the content block in each page do not contain any URL.

Looking at the HTML code as displayed, the "a href" tags are simply not there.
This makes navigating the site very painful, as the only way to get back up a level is to click on the "Home" link and drill down from there.

I'm thinking this must be something I've done wrong, and not a bug, as it would be a showstopper for an RC2 release?

Any ideas?

Admin -> Current Theme's Settings ->  Enable inline links
If that wont work, tell us is this converted theme or else and url would be nice. :)

Thanks for the quick response, but I already have this setting enabled. (Changing the setting back, alters the appearance but still does not create any URL in the links..)

The theme is the default SMI theme that comes with the forum.  I tried switching it to YABB default and YABB converted (which was my old custom them on the YABB board), but the problem is the same.

Makes me think its not a Theme related issue...

If its any use, the HTML code in question looks like this:

<table width="100%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="0">
<tr>
<td><a name="top"></a><span class="nav" style="font-size: smaller;"><b>Forum dei Flli Nustrini</b> &nbsp;|&nbsp; <b>flli</b> &nbsp;|&nbsp; <b>Nustrini</b> (Moderator: <a href="http://ww2.nustrini.org/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1" title="Board Moderator">Breolino</a>)</span></td>
</tr>
</table>

The entire forum is private ATM.  If need be I can setup an open board and provide the link for that.

Thanks!

That just makes it so that the nav will appear as inline rather then tree structure.

QuoteEnable inline links
Enabling this will cause your current location to be drawn in a single line, as opposed to in a tree-like manner.

I think what he is after is: Show current position in forum as link instead of text? option located in Admin -> Theme and Layout Settings ->Theme Name -> Theme Settings->  Show current position in forum as link instead of text?

I just figured it out by re reading the settings page, and came back here to say I had found the setting in question, only to find the akabugeyes' answer.
That's great service for a "free" product!

Thanks to both of you for helping out. :)

BTW, shouldn't this option be turned on by default?  Other wise, there is no easy way to navigate back up the "tree"?!  Or was this due to the fact that I converted an existing Yabb board?

Either way, I'm _VERY_ happy with the upgrade :)

Thanks again!

I'm going to guess you made a copy of everything, and manually edited the new Settings.php to point to your old database and upgrade.  For some reason, people seem to think this makes for a cleaner upgrade.  I guess this because this was an option in YaBB SE, which was stored in Settings.php.  If you kept your old Settings.php nice and tidy, you would have had no problems (as most people have had.)

Doing this causes the loss of all the settings in Settings.php during the upgrade.  Did you?  If not, did you do anything else peculiar during the upgrade?
