i just looked through all the new features in the mods . i am looking for an unaswered post mod

anyone know of such?

ecoomber

I too am looking for something like this.  But more specifically, "new posts since last visit" type thing.

I've got a mod awaiting approval to filter topics in boards based on time and topic attribute.

However at the moment it is unapproved.

LOL... all three people seem to be talking about THREE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS!

( and of course, me makes fourth)

I think what Poster #1 is referring to , is something that should be built into the core.

That allows the forum to be used as a Question/Answer help desk type application, but also because unanswered posts are the bane of any forum. Any functionality that raises visibility to this issue should be a core function, IMHO

I can't see help/desk style things becoming core feature. I can't see that being used except on a minority of forums.

After re-reading all the posts, I don't think the first users was after a helpdesk style mod.  But a feature to show unanswered posts eg topics without replies.

As for the second poster, my new mod could also be used to show new posts within a timeframe such as since his last visit.

So my post could be for 1) and 2).  But not yours. :P

well since everyone is guessing what i want  :P

I run a free chemistry homework help forum

www.mychemistrytutor.com/forums

so it is like a Q&A thing for me.

it would be nice if we could see questions that have not been answered at all.

any ideas or anyone wanna take this up

rummie

Well, you should rename the title of your first post in this thread, since what you are requesting is, specifically, an UNANSWERED THREAD MOD which would be any thread started (i.e. first post) that has 0 replies.

I may or may not have a need for this.....lemme think....

littlenicki

Well, I am still looking for something like this. Would be nice if it was available.

Thank for your suggestion but it's not quite the same as the original mod ... unfortunately
