Our forums have their own set of rules, yet we can't avoid that there are still bad eggs in a basket.When a member misbehaves or breaks one of the rules, admonish him or her through PM (personal message). Don't insult him or her or point out his or her mistake in the open.Explain gently to this member why there is a need to abide with the forum guidelines.Soft talk truly softens the heart.

IMO, how you handle an issue really depends on what kind of community you're running, "explaining gently" in my community, will show that you're a wimp and will only cause more trouble.
