[Theme] Iron Cross (moody RPG forum theme)

Hey guys,

I thought i'd throw a glove into the ring when it comes to theme creation - this is a very simple theme, made for RPG sites (i run one and its damn hard to find good themes for them). Most of the changes come in the form of basic graphic mods and changes to the stylesheet - so don't expect anything spectacular

We've been using yabbse forever and only upgraded to SMF a day ago so i'm still new at this

Anyhow - work in progress, if people like it and would like to use it, i'll release the files when i've finished.

Since your site is password protected we cannot see much of the theme. Is your intention to share this theme (thinking so because of the [Theme] prefix in the subject text)? If so you might want to provide a downlaod link.

its a work in progress - when i finish it i'll share it, but for now there are graphics that are yet to be converted - included the screencap since the site IS protected and we cant allow people to sign up and just browse around.

give me a week and you'll see it listed here - pre-empted a bit with this post anyhow

RPG themes - well we revolve around moody dark medieval style gfx, talking RPgs in the sense of gothic, BG I,II etc, Icewind dale, Warcraft, those style of RPG oriented mythical sites.

A theme doesn't *have* to be dark to be RPG-oriented .

actually no - originated with the default SMF theme; using that as a basis and modding it from there. as i said, only been at this 1 day with SMF - we've had a yabbse forum for the last few years that only recently died thanks to our host upgrading php versions.

yeah i realise themes dont need to be dark to be RPG - but a lot of them are nonetheless and it seemed the easiest way to describe it - and it's what we ourselves are using it for so it made sense to call it such isn't exactly a 'clean corporate skin' here

perhaps a premature post to ask for comments on something in development but i figure it  never hurt to get feedback on it and constructive comments on the overall 'feel'.
