Change Poster Of Message And Topic

This modifications gives admins a possibilty to change the poster of the message. When a message is being modified by the admin, a checkbox for enabling the feature and a textbox for entering the change poster id appears under the Additional Options.

Mod changes all needed information of poster. Also if the post is the start of a topic, it also changes the topic as post.

Same suggestion as Post As Alternate User, though. Add pm-like field for recognizing usernames instead of memorizing user IDs. Much easier. Either that, or a popup for the Find User dialogue for making people moderators of boards or adding buddies.

Suggestions:

- Alter the field take in usernames rather then IDs. (maybe option).
- Combine this with the other modification you made that let's you post as someone else.

Very nice mod -- thank you for sharing it with us!

Some features that would be nice:
1) ability to change post date
2) abilty to change the "last modification by" user
3) ability to mark a message as unread-by-all.

No, just for admins. Maybe that would be as permissions in the further versions.

No, for that you should use the "Post as Alternate User' mod.

I think I found a bug, the $message['member']['posts'] doesn't reflect the new posts that have been added.

Eliana, i've tried that one. I'm moving all replies and threads from another forum. A webbased one where i can't upload any files, so i have to do it manually. And it would be so much easier if i could just tell what ID the post should be from, since my members have already joined and they're about 40 of them. This sollution is the closest and simplest. I'm sometimes posting a whole topic with 6 different users, and i wouldn't want to change "Alternate User" all the time.

Then why don't you use both mods installed? Then you could post some and change later, and post others WITH the right IDs?

Is it possible to make my Global Moderators change the ID as well? If so, How would that be done?
