Urgent help needed.

i know i know...
i have been litle boring these days well now since i found the ideal webhost for smf and i install the smf with no errors
thay started to show up
now im able to aply new mods
but at some mods when i press install only blank screen comes and at down left corner there is "done." like the page has loaded or somthing but its blank
this happends on the most inportant mod the ad menagment
so any tips?
but pls stop driving me into circles by saying visit this page or that page

here but cant do screenshop but this is what i do.
1.uploading mod.
2.creating temp dir and chmod 777
3.pressing apply mod
4.and the text is showing test sucssesful
5.install and only blank page is apearing and at the left down corner it says "done" like the page has loaded but its just a blank

i was installing meta tag mod manualy and found this. /sources/managesettings is missing i noticed this when i was folowing the manual for installing the mod and requered to change somthing in /sources/managesettings but its gone no manage settings file

its not even in the installation file
i downloaded again and its not there
/sources/managesettings.php

have you checked forum error log -- if you can get to it -- and especially the webserver's error log?

A blank page normally indicates that a script error, or a server configuration problem, is happening.  Checking those may provide some insight as to what is happening. It can also be a timeout issue on the server end.

ManageSettings.php is a valid source file in SMF 2.0 -- but not in version 1.1.5.  Are you sure you got the right version of the mod for your SMF version?

i have the valid mod version but the page that appears is blan when i press install.

Hm, i don't think that'd cause the page to crash.  How about the webserver error logs?  You may need to contact your host regarding how to access them, but they should show if any errors are occurring on the webserver side of things.

edit: that second error seems like ia file is trying to be required and can't be found -- that may be a problem.  Did you have to enter FTP information before installing the mod?  Can you ensure that all of your forum paths are properly set?

1 sec im runing repair_settings.php for fixing my path, let me see........................
all path are corect but only  the cookie was 35 instead of 11

and what it takes for webserver error log i dont know were is placed or i need to contact to give me information were to go for error log..

it seems the problem for blank page was that when i was installing smf on webserver it didnt asked to chmod the files to continiue with installation  so i forgot to chmod now this error shows up when i try to install this ad menagment mod

what i'm wondering about is the /./install.php part.  obviously the . means current directory but it should not be in the path.

As i said, the webserver error log you'll likely have to ask your host how to access.  if you are on a cPanel server you can login to cPanel and it will be available in 'error log'

y i have c panel but it seems i dont have server error log..
if i have i dont know were is it
but thus us not happening just to ad menagment mod it also happends to few other modes

is there anyway else to fix this?

Its difficult to be able to debug the problem without knowing what is causing the problem

its not 'server error log' in there,  just 'error log'.  If its not in there, i'd reccommend sending your host an email requesting the logs.

done i sended ticket to my server now waitnig for replay in meanwile once i installed forum and it was perfect but it was on funpic.de and 1 boring pop up was showing whole time so i tryed to change server and then the problems started i searched for the perfect server but no use on some server i chouldnt even install 1 mod but i tryed to host on funpic again and i haved problems
but first time no errors no problems evrything was runung exelent but 2 time on funpic and voala only problems
ca be this cause by the smf itself? i mean the error show some 
temp/./install.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php') failed to open how can i create temp folder that will be there for whole time becouse when i install mod i create temp folder but when i press install and install the mod temp is gone.

theres a mod called no temp directory removal -- sorry i don't have a link available, run a search in modifications for 'temp' and it should come up.

if its not being enabled to create the temp directory, that is a hosting side issue in the ownership or permissions on files.  Theres nothing SMF can do about that, you or your host would need to make sure the files are owned by a user where the webserver can create directories

i need to change the host? or tell me some good host

Did you try using the No Temp Directory Removal mod yet? Or create a folder called temp inside your /Packages directory and CHMOD it to 777 or 755. Then try installing a mod again.

If you want to look for another hosts, take a look at the Hosts and Hosting board.

I don't see a post where you said you tried using the no temp directory removal mod. I see one of the staff mentioned on using it but you never followed up on it.

One other thing you can try is the following:
Go to Admin->Packages->Options and uncheck Create Backup versions of replaced files with a tilde (~) on the end of their names. Try installing a mod now.

i give up... is it posible to put the ad menagment mod into the next version of smf?
i understand that will make the smf biger but it will save much time on users
till then i guest i will wait for next ver and mby better hosts will come out...
and is it posible to set the smf on my computer not on webhost but on my computer with some programs?

anyway what if server dont alow adsenses?
is that posible to cause this?
