Is present a small error in Themes.italian-utf8.php packages for smf_2-0-beta4p_italian-utf8
To fix simply change this line:

$txt['show_group_key'] = Mostra legenda dei gruppi nell'indice del forum;

to this:

$txt['show_group_key'] = 'Mostra legenda dei gruppi nell\'indice del forum';

PS: IMHO is best to rename all files from *-utf8.php to *.php 
(i have renamed for my test forum)

I will request a Italian translator to look at this and get it fixed in our language editor (So it is fixed next time our language packs are updated).

The -utf8.php files are supposed to be that way. Those are used for when you have your forum in UTF8 mode (see UTF-8 Readme for more information). There should be regular Italian language files as well.

In local (easyphp) i've installed my forum in utf8 but if i use files *-utf8.php i cant see italian text, all works perfectly if i rename all files to *.php (without -utf8).

Sorry for the delay, I've corrected the string (even if the bug wasn't related to the escape slash)
Anyway, try to upload the italian language package from your Administrator Panel.
