Also what are you trying to get specifically? Images in front of the childboard name?

how is that a child board? i know tons of asians who are not children anymore and still love anime like they're 10.

I've already done this for 1.1.x and 2b4.

I'll load this template onto a test site so you can see the effect.

This will give you the basic idea. It's for SMF 2 but the same code can be usd in 1.1.x.

Login details are: username, Demo1 password, Demo1234

Note the capital D. Use it.

ETA: Template attached. Note that I also added a childbox class to the style.css, like this:

Note that this template is coded with an extra on/off icon for the child boards. The icon for the parent board does not light up when there are new posts in the child boards. This was deliberate as I felt it made more sense when using this arrangement to list lots of child boards.

Hey I got the idea off someone else anyway. Dilber MC has a two column option. I just figured out how the code for dividing the boards worked and changed it to three columns then did some tidying up. Go ahead and use it.

Of course you can have four columns or whatever if you like.

You forgot the modified BoardIndex.template.php. The one attached is for SMF 2 but the same code for the child boards section can be applied to 1.1.x.
