The YaBBSE community, you know how its all archived and such, well sometime I find myself rumaging through it and use the search feature, its really slow, searching takes forever. I was searching for the blog mod for example, the words "blog mod" didnt return anything useful after like a whole minute of searching and then I searched "Blog" and got the right like, but that too took ages to display. Fair enough its lightening fast when using the forum and reading but the search is very slow, so what I was thinking as it wasnt going to change any time soon, could there be like an SMF version of it, like make two copys and upgrade one of them to SMF and then it would maybe go a lot faster, use the classic theme but speed it up a bit. Or could something be done to speed search up?

We've talked about this.  I personally feel it should stay YSE for the legacy factor.
This space for rent.

But then you have the classic theme :p
It would be nice IMO to convert it to SMF...I look around a lot sometimes for the hell of it and for ideas.

i agree with converting it to smf but using the yabbse theme as default. a nice transition between the old and new software.

Why not make it SMF and then change the copyright to say YaBBSE, then it would seen like it still was.

Oh and i forgot to say, this site keeps giving weird URL's and it basically gives

http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php

Then a php session number thing and adds "&www" to the end, I seen that before at Jerrys board running 1.1, is it supposed to do anything.

That happens when you try to access http://simplemachines.org/community/index.php.  Please use www :P.
