.htaccess and drupal

.htaccess in my drupal installation will not allow me to access to update link in SMF

i would like to continue to update using this link and not manually

does anyone know how to edit an .htaccess to allow full access to my /forums folder

when i click the update forum link in the admin of SMF

the rewrite rules of drupal take over and return a 404 error

drupal needs another or modificated module for smf 2 it is not working with drupal.

Hmmm. I still get "Page not Found" when I try to login or even register an account. Anyone have any other solutions?

I was still never able to resolve this, do you think it is because SMF does not have a native .htaccess itself

No, it shouldn't be that - just that the rules may not be correct for some reason. Been far too long since I did much with rewrite rules though

Maybe you're looking in the wrong place.  I have several Drupal sites with SMF integrated.  They have the same default rewrite rules you are showing and all work well.

It is not a problem with integration, it is that the admin update link is caught by the Drupal self 404
