In YabbSe there was a mod called "report to moderator tuning".
with this mod you can select a moderator which report the thread to, after the moderator names the online/offline status is shown

Maybe this function can be integrated into the default version of SMF ;)

Quite useful except the online status isn't always accurate due to the 10 minute delay in someone logging off. What would be really clever (but maybe very difficult) and useful for large boards would be like a token system. When someone reports a post a IM is sent to any online mods first (a maximum of 3) - the moderator can then click the link in the IM that will take them to the offending post. This link would have a "token" attached (in the url) and when the thread is viewed it would acknowledge the report as "actioned" by a moderator and not message the other mods. It would save the current "mail every moderator" thing which happens now (I believe!). If the thread isn't checked within say 5 minutes then maybe the other mods would get the message?

There's lots of nice things you could do with this but I'm guessing it's will probably be best when all is said and done - leaving it as it is :P

It would be usefule if geust couldn't report any more or when they could that there ip would be included in to the report so to stop spam.
Sigh...

I've always been of the opinion that picking which moderator to report to is weird :P.

It would have to be to mods with powers in the relevant board to be any use...

Yep. Would still be nice though :)

Like having it so the board moderators are choosen as first pirority, if they fail to act within a time period the global mods are messaged and after that the admin. Kind of working it's way up the management tree. Way too complicated but fun nonetheless
