adding to theme

I'm new to smf, I switched from phpbb recently. Anyways, I am using the classic theme, and want to add a php include for a banner script, as well as a p[aypal button, just above my forums in that table. The templates are confusing, im not sure exactly where to add it and be able to center it in the theme. I have a paypal button, but its all to the left. hxxp:hfx4sale.com [nonactive] is the url if anyone wants to look.

I've searched the forusm here but didnt find anythign that helped me.

Yes I figured out this much, Im not sure where though, im using the classic theme that coems with the core install.
