Introduction

SideSparks, based on XAjax technology, is a seamless method of real-time communication for your Website visitors to discuss your products or current issues. Join this new way of communication and enhance the user experience for your most valuable commodity: the people visiting your Website or blog. It offers free chat for your Blog or Homepage. SideSparks is compatible with custom Websites and WordPress blogs. It's free of charge, free of ads, and no registration is required. Sidesparks offers a free chat Website integration.

This will integrate the SideSparks chat into your forum. The only downfall is that each member must manually input their name when first logging in.



All options are customizable in the admin panel

Hello. Does this mod have permissions enabled or is it possible to make it so it's not public to everyone even guests? Or is it possible to make it so that only registered members (via sidesparks) can chat only?

It could be. I would have to look into it.

The next update I am working on allows permissions for viewing chat.

Manualy change codes in index.template.php of your theme

Yes, hopefully I can get it in with my next update. If not, it will be the update after that.

There are some things in 2.0 that aren't allowing me to do what I need with sidesparks.php

I install this mod, and registered username and email, but no conformation email ever recieved !! Any ides please. Also does not seem to work with google chrome browser

The confirmation email is not done through this mod. It is done through the SideSparks server. I will contact them and see what they say.

As for not working in Google Chrome, SideSparks has not updated their code to work with Chrome as of yet.

I used 2 different e mail addresses on 2 different accounts - 1 Hotmail and 1 AOL but received nothing from either after 3 days.

Shame about google chrome as a lot of our forum members are using this browser now

No it installed, but I want to add a tab for it on my theme, and since there is no action=chat or something like that it makes it difficult.

Are you saying you want this integrated into Tiny Portal? Also, please see the manual install instructions for how to install on a custom theme.
